My Illuminated Letter
In He Puna Tarei we were doing illuminated letters.
First you chose a letter like the letter at the start of your name. Then you practice doing your illuminated letter 4 times. Then you chose your best 2. Then you get a good copy and chose the best out of them. Then you draw your letter you chose. Then colour your letter in. Here is mine.

He Puna Tarei made Egyptian Cartouches. We had to write our name in Hieroglyphics. First we had to do it in our art books. Then after we were finished in our books we had to do a good copy of it. Then when we were finished our good copy we had to paint it with water colors. Finally go over all of the lines with indian ink.

Gymnastics
On Tuesday He puna Tarei walked to Whanganui boys and girls gymnastics club. I learnt that every time you jump you have to do a motorbike landing to be safe. After that we split up into three groups and went on to different stations. I went on the blue and yellow trampolines. My favourite part was jumping into the pit.

Puanga Star
He Puna Tarei made Puanga Stars for Puanga. First we had to cut the the paper into a star shape. Then we had to put the patterns on that we learnt from Mr Ohia. Then we colored them in until there were no white spaces. Then Miss Nation helped us fold the points. Then grab a black peace of paper and trace around the star. Then we put the tiniest blob of glue on the ends to stick it on the paper. Then write around it and carefully place the star in the middle of the page. Finished! They look awesome!
